Fireworks Desensitization Class

Build confidence around loud noises – safe, gradually, and with measurable progress – with our Fireworks Desensitization Class. Instead of full-volume sound exposure, we use controlled, incremental steps paired with counterconditioning and positive reinforcement. The session will focus on predictable routines, body language cues, and gradual increase in stimulus so dogs learn to remain calm. We will shoot a cap gun at 300 yards, and incrementally come closer, taking note of each dogs arousal and comfort.

Sessions will be held on 6/14 and 6/21 from 2pm-3:30pm and will be $80 (you only need to attend one session). Contact the office to reserve your spot!

*Dogs who are already sensitive to fireworks, loud noises, etc. may not be the best fit for this class – please reach out if you’re unsure and we can advise.
