Dog day training is a new program at Wilde Acres. This is a great alternative for those who may not want to leave their dog for several weeks in a row or for dogs with specific concerns, such as physical or medical limitations.
The results of doggy day school will be dependent on each dog and your program goals. Clients can work with Wilde Acres’ trainers to create a custom day training package from anything that we currently offer. Your dog’s custom package can focus on obedience, manners, house training, crate training, dog or human aggression, separation anxiety, environment instability, and more. You’ll also get a short check-in with the trainer after every session, and a 1-hour private lesson every two weeks.
You’ll be matched up with your Wilde Acres trainer prior to the start of your dog day school to discuss your dog’s needs and goals.
Your dog will train with us two days a week for four consecutive weeks. Choose from Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
Drop-off begins at 8 a.m. each day, and the last pick-up is at 4 p.m. Get a 15-minute training recap at pick-up and a 1-hour private lesson with your trainer every two weeks.
After training ends, get six handler classes to solidify your dog’s training.
Book additional 8-day packages at any point in the future.
Every training retreat at Wilde Acres includes six follow-up sessions called Post Retreat Handler Classes. After a dog has completed a training retreat, both owner and dog are eligible to attend the weekly handler classes.
Handler classes are designed to help dog owners handle their dogs the way the Wilde Acres staff did, thus getting better behaviors. These classes will help owners feel completely confident in their dog and their skills. Wilde Acres staff recommends attending at least three handler classes.

Absolutely thrilled with the experience for my 4-month-old pup! After three weeks of training, we were blown away by the results! From the moment of drop-off, it was evident that the entire team is passionate about what they do, ensuring your furry friend is in the best hands possible. Carter, Jen, Melanie, Heather, and the entire crew are simply outstanding. I can't speak highly enough of this facility and we look forward to the follow up training and boarding opportunities they provide.

Carter and his entire team are the absolute best! It took some convincing for me to leave my puppy at Wilde Acres for the two week retreat but I was so happy with the results that I sent her back for the second retreat. Carter was amazing and so patient with answering all of my questions. I now get so many compliments on how well behaved my dog is and that is all thanks to Wilde Acres! Can't recommend this amazing team enough!

Our dog went to a three week training with Carter and his staff which was a great experience. Our dog quickly mastered multiple commands and walks on a leash like a dream. Staff is professional and knowledgeable. The facility is impressive and very well cared for. We will continue to depend on Wilde Acres expertise for boarding and training.

The longer a dog trains at Wilde Acres, the better their responses become. Dog day school is a minimum 8-day training package that includes 2 training days per week for 4 consecutive weeks.
When you book, we’ll require a $300 deposit to hold your reservation. This is refundable within 7 days of your start date if you choose to cancel. The remaining balance will be due upon drop-off for the first training.
