Your dog stays overnight at Wilde Acres for the duration of their training program to learn fundamentals from our team. When you pick them up, we’ll provide you with a 1-on-1 training session so you can keep the learning going at home.
After training ends, attend weekly classes with your dog to further develop their skills.
This training program is not recommended for adult dogs with behavioral issues. If your dog is exhibiting aggressive or anxious behavior, check out our Behavior Modification training option.

Our dog went to a three week training with Carter and his staff which was a great experience. Our dog quickly mastered multiple commands and walks on a leash like a dream. The longer an adult dog trains at Wilde Acres, the better their responses become. In fact, for dogs over 18 months, we strongly recommend the 4-week training option. The longer they train with us, the greater control you’ll have of your dogs’ behavior throughout its life. Plus, the more weeks you buy, the more you save each week.
When you book, we’ll require a $300 deposit to hold your reservation. This is refundable within 7 days of your start date if you choose to cancel. The remaining balance will be due upon drop-off.
Every training retreat at Wilde Acres includes six follow-up sessions called Post Retreat Handler Classes. After a dog has completed a training retreat, both owner and dog are eligible to attend the weekly handler classes.
Handler classes are designed to help dog owners handle their dogs the way the Wilde Acres staff did, thus getting better behaviors. These classes will help owners feel completely confident in their dog and their skills. Wilde Acres staff recommends attending at least three handler classes.
