Are you ready to take on the task of training your dog by yourself, but need a coach? Or perhaps you’ve already tried working with other trainers but haven’t gotten results? Or maybe you’re interested in one of our more immersive training experiences but not yet ready to pull the trigger on that investment?
If so, you and your dog may benefit from our unique, 1-on-1, self-paced format—private dog training lessons. With this option, we’ll take you through the process of learning about your dog and will teach you our training methodology. Completely customizable, private dog training can work well for puppies, older dogs with behavioral issues, and any dog in between.
We require at least one private lesson for all dogs before they sign up for our Behavior Modification Dog Training program. This way, we can get to know your dog a bit better and ensure its stay at Wilde Acres will be successful.
In your first one-hour, in-person lesson, we’ll assess your dog, discuss your training goals, and determine your custom lesson plan.
Buy each lesson ala carte (i.e., “pay as you go”) or purchase in bundles of five to save on each lesson.
You and your dog will attend the private lesson(s) together to learn the skills you can then bring home to solidify in your pup.
Personal dog training can be a great alternative for those who may not want to leave their dog overnight for a training retreat or for dogs with specific concerns, such as physical or medical limitations.

Carter truly has a gift with all animals. He worked closely with both of my labs. He treated my dogs just like his own. Not only was Carter spot on with my dogs energy and what they needed individually to be successful. He also helped and coached me too. He taught me how to be confident when giving commands which made me more comfortable working alone with my dogs after their stay. My dogs love Carter and are always excited to see him even if it’s just his voice through the phone when his training videos come on! He is very knowledgeable and would recommend him 100 times over.

The more sessions your dog experiences with Wilde Acres, the better their responses become. Ultimately, this means you’ll have greater control of your dogs’ behavior throughout its life. Plus, the more you buy, the more you save.
When you book, we can schedule your lesson(s) upfront, so you have your entire training program in place. We’ll require a $300 deposit to hold your reservation. This is refundable within 7 days of your start date if you choose to cancel. The remaining balance will be due when you attend your first lesson.
