What if your dog could spend the day working with exceptional professional trainers — and still come home with you every night?
Wilde Acres has helped thousands of Baltimore-area families raise better-behaved, more confident dogs through our board and train retreats and private lessons. This September we’re bringing that same program into the daytime, on our 20 acres in Baltimore County — with two ways to do it, depending on where your dog is today.
Full-day professional training. Monday through Thursday. Open to any dog, at any age or experience level – no prior training with us required.
A small, structured group program that maintains the training your dog already has and gives them real physicial and mental work.
Your dog trains with us Monday through Thursday, all day, then comes home to sleep in their own bed and be part of the family every night. Our trainers work with dogs of every age, breed, and experience level to build a program around your specific goals — the same caliber of training Wilde Acres is known for, minus the overnight stay.
Enroll for as few as two weeks, or keep going for as long as it takes to reach your goals. Some dogs need a focused foundation; others need more time to build reliability around distractions. We recommend a length based on your dog and the results you want — not a fixed package.
Every week includes a private one-on-one lesson with your trainer, plus two Sunday handler classes with founder Carter Wilde — so you’re never in the dark about what your dog is learning, or how to reinforce it once you’re home.
A $300 deposit holds your reservation, refundable within 7 days of your start date. The remaining balance is due at drop-off for your first day of training.
You'll be matched with your Wilde Acres trainer before your dog's first day to discuss your dog's needs and goals.
Day School runs on a two-week minimum. Extend week to week for as long as your goals require.
Monday through Thursday, all day - drop-off from 8 a.m., pick-up by 4:30 p.m. Then home with you every night, back with us in the morning.
Every week includes a private 1-on-1 lesson with your trainer, plus two Sunday group handler classes with founder Carter Wilde.
Keep going week to week until you've reached your goals - with savings built in the longer you stay.

A structured day program focused on three things: maintaining your dog’s training, developing a more civilized dog, and providing meaningful physical exercise.
This is not traditional daycare. Dogs are not placed into large groups and allowed to entertain themselves all day. We keep the group relatively small, and every dog follows an Individualized Education Plan based on their training, fitness, and specific needs — not simply what the rest of the group is doing.
This program is for graduates. Dogs qualify after completing an approved Wilde Acres Training Retreat, or by completing Doggy Day School first. All dogs must be conditioned to an electronic collar before entering.
No make-up days. Final enrollment is subject to approval by the Wilde Acres training team.
Dogs practice working, resting, and remaining neutral around other dogs and everyday distractions. Social exposure is controlled and purposeful. Appropriate play may be included, but endless group play is not the goal.
Dogs receive productive physical outlets selected for their age, fitness, and abilities.

Absolutely thrilled with the experience for my 4-month-old pup! After three weeks of training, we were blown away by the results! From the moment of drop-off, it was evident that the entire team is passionate about what they do, ensuring your furry friend is in the best hands possible. Carter, Jen, Melanie, Heather, and the entire crew are simply outstanding. I can't speak highly enough of this facility and we look forward to the follow up training and boarding opportunities they provide.

Carter and his entire team are the absolute best! It took some convincing for me to leave my puppy at Wilde Acres for the two week retreat but I was so happy with the results that I sent her back for the second retreat. Carter was amazing and so patient with answering all of my questions. I now get so many compliments on how well behaved my dog is and that is all thanks to Wilde Acres! Can't recommend this amazing team enough!

Our dog went to a three week training with Carter and his staff which was a great experience. Our dog quickly mastered multiple commands and walks on a leash like a dream. Staff is professional and knowledgeable. The facility is impressive and very well cared for. We will continue to depend on Wilde Acres expertise for boarding and training.
