For those looking for a single retreat, Wilde Acres offers two, three, and four-week Standalone Training Retreats for young dogs aged 6-18 months old. After a dog has completed a training retreat, both owner and dog are eligible to attend weekly handler classes offered at Wilde Acres. The daily schedule of any training retreat includes 1-on-1 obedience lessons and walks in the woods to practice good dog behavior. If dogs are dog-friendly, they will have employee supervised play-time with other dogs. If dogs are dog-aggressive, they will have supervised yard time on their own.
The longer dogs train at Wilde Acres, the better their responses become, providing owners greater control of their dogs’ behavior.
Weekly post-retreat handler classes are included with any standalone retreat package.

This program is available for dogs 6-12 months old. It is predominantly focused on leash-walking and staying on the dog bed or in a down-stay while out and about in public. This is Wilde Acres Training & Boarding’s minimum training retreat offering. It’s a great jumpstart, but it will be up to the owner to push their dog further themselves. Weekly post-retreat handler classes are included with this retreat

This program is available for dogs 6-18 months old. If you’re planning on attending only one training retreat, Wilde Acres recommends three weeks.

A perfect training opportunity for dogs over six months and up to four years old. Wilde Acres recommends this training option if your dog is over 18 months old.
What’s included:
Every training retreat at Wilde Acres includes follow-up sessions called handler classes. After a dog has completed a training retreat, both owner and dog are eligible to attend the weekly handler classes.
Handler classes are designed to help dog owners handle their dogs the way the Wilde Acres staff did, thus getting better behaviors. These classes will help owners feel completely confident in their dog and their skills.
Wilde Acres staff recommends attending at least three handler classes.
A $300 deposit is required for all training retreats. The deposit goes toward the total cost of the training retreat and clients pay the remaining amount due when dropping off their dogs. The deposit will be forfeited if there is a late cancellation or no-show.
